10 February 2023 – Hosting its first Showcase event in New Zealand since the start of the pandemic, enterprise software provider TechnologyOne introduced more than 300 attendees, customers and prospective customers to TechnologyOne’s next generation software, CiA, and Solution as a Service – a new, all-inclusive offering to implement, run, support and upgrade TechnologyOne’s best in class industry solutions.

TechnologyOne CEO Ed Chung who attended the Auckland Showcase also took this opportunity to announce the company had donated $50,000 to Salvos New Zealand and KidsCan to help with their flood relief effort.

“We are all sending our thoughts and best wishes to those impacted by the devastating floods in Auckland and the broader North Island over the past couple of weeks,” Mr Chung said.

“We are committed to supporting the communities we serve and chose to work closely with local community groups to provide support to those affected.

“We’re pleased to support The Salvation Army New Zealand to help with their flood relief effort, and our New Zealand Foundation partner, KidsCan, to help local kids who might have been affected in their first weeks back at school.

“As a business, we strongly believe we are stronger as one, and we need to support each other the most through times like these.”

Captain Stephen Molen, Divisional Coordinator for Emergency Services at Salvos NZ said TechnologyOne’s donation was most welcome as the clean-up began on the North Island.

“Donations like this help ensure we can support people through this immediate period, assist those in our community who have been affected by the flooding and need food and clothing assistance and other comfort and support,” Captain Molen said.

Julie Chapman, KidsCan CEO and founder, said the flooding in the upper North Island had affected many families in poverty, who were already struggling with the cost-of-living crisis.

“We're very grateful to our partner, TechnologyOne, for coming through with a donation at a time of need. We've provided extra food to schools acting as emergency hubs, and we'll be giving long-term support to flood-affected families. None of this would be possible without the support of our generous business community,” Chapman said.

“Teachers tell us the soaring cost of living is fueling an education crisis for children in poverty. Donations like this from TechnologyOne help ensure no children go without. Our mission is to ensure tamariki are warm and dry at school, get a guaranteed meal every day, helping them learn and achieve their goals.”
