Cardinia Shire Council launches software modernisation program with TechnologyOne to help support population boom
27 July 2022 – Victoria‘s Cardinia Shire Council has commenced a modernisation program of several of its core business systems to help council staff make better, data-driven decisions and improve the way residents engage with the council.
Cardinia Shire Council is one of Victoria’s fastest-growing municipalities. To support its rapid growth, the council has turned to leading Australian ERP SaaS provider TechnologyOne to undertake the technology renewal and recently signed up to components of the OneCouncil solution.
Cardinia Shire Chief Executive Officer Carol Jeffs said the council team is “immensely proud” to support a growing, diverse community, and one that so many people want to move to be part of, but “we need to ensure we are set up to support this growth.”
“Last year Cardinia Shire saw a 2.4% increase in the number of rateable properties.
“At the same time we’re committed to delivering a $99 million capital works program in 2022-23, with another $219 million earmarked up until 2025-26.
“With all this growth we knew we needed to have the right modern technology and platforms in place to make data-driven decisions and to ensure every dollar is going to helping and supporting the community in a sustainable way.
“TechnologyOne is well known and trusted, and their OneCouncil solution has what we need to help us meet our goals. This is an exciting move for the community and our dedicated team,” she said.
