TechnologyOne undertakes major sponsorship of IPWEA Conference
Leading enterprise software provider TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE) has signed a gold sponsorship of June’s 2015 IPWEA International Public Works Conference, continuing its support of the key public works engineering industry event.
The Institute of Public Works Engineering Australasia (IPWEA) is a professional organisation providing member services and advocacy for those involved in delivering public works and engineering services to the community.
“We’re pleased to be a major sponsor for this year’s IPWEA conference,” said TechnologyOne Group General Manager for local government and asset intensive industries Peter Suchting.
“This is a great opportunity for public asset managers to understand the importance of taking an enterprise approach to asset management, which is instrumental in ensuring sustainable communities. Organisations using disparate systems to manage their infrastructure assets will find it difficult to maximise the performance of these assets throughout their entire lifecycle.”
Conference delegates will hear from one of TechnologyOne’s customers, the City of Charles Sturt. The Australian council’s Information Services Manager Jodie Rugless is set to discuss City of Charles Sturt’s use of a holistic, integrated approach to asset management to transform its operations.
“Over the last 18 months the City of Charles Sturt has transformed its Asset Management Services division from a traditional paper-based, disparate system to a fully digitised, single system. We have streamlined our processes, and are now a highly performing and highly transparent unit,” Ms Rugless said.
"TechnologyOne Asset Management has been a huge benefit to the organisation and has given us a reason to use mobility in the field. Providing our field workers with access to mobile devices has opened up a whole platform for innovation for our organisation.
“Additionally, the introduction of new technologies and new capabilities required for this change has provided Council operations with a sustainable avenue for competitive advantage.”
TechnologyOne also has a number of other New Zealand customers using its Asset Management solution, including Whangarei District Council, Christchurch International Airport and MainPower NZ.
This year’s sponsorship is the second time TechnologyOne has been a major supporter of the biennial IPWEA International Public Works Conference, which host more than 600 delegates from leading councils, engineering and infrastructure organisations across the globe. The 2015 conference will run from 7 - 11 June at Rotorua Energy Events Centre, Rotorua Gardens, Rotorua.
