TechnologyOne supports life-changing work of Fred Hollows Foundation

Australia’s largest enterprise software provider TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE) has partnered with international not-for-profit Fred Hollows Foundation, donating AUD $50,000 this year to the Foundation’s Vietnam Child Eye Care program.

TechnologyOne’s donation will benefit 210 primary schools and 150 secondary schools across Vietnam, funding the training of 200 eye care workers in primary eye health and 12,027 teachers in basic eye health.

The Vietnam Child Eye Care program focuses on the development and adoption of a national eye care screening guideline.

The new partnership is driven by TechnologyOne Foundation’s commitment to making a difference in the local and international community, working with charity partners to empower disadvantaged youth with funds, education and support.

The TechnologyOne Foundation has pledged to donate one per cent of the company’s time, profit and product, as part of its philanthropic vision.

As a Brisbane-headquartered global business just passing its 30 year milestone, TechnologyOne works alongside a number of key charities to provide assistance to some of the poorest communities in the world.

The software provider plans to extend its partnership with Fred Hollows Foundation over the next few years, in line with its profit growth, which is traditionally 10 to 15 per cent per year.

TechnologyOne’s Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco, says the company’s success means it has a responsibility to give back to the community.

“We’re making this commitment because it is the right thing to do. As a large, successful company we have the capability and capacity to make a difference," Mr Di Marco said.
