TechnologyOne SaaS wins second Federal Government shared services hub contract with Department of Industry, Innovation and Science

TechnologyOne (ASX:TNE), Australia’s leading enterprise software provider announced today that its market leading enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) offering  has been further validated at the Federal Government level by securing a second shared service hub with the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS).

DIIS is the second Shared Service hub to partner with TechnologyOne, under the Federal Government’s Shared Service Strategy, following the Department of Treasury.

The two Shared Service hubs are expected to manage more than 40 Federal Government agencies, taking advantage of the only true enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) solution.

TechnologyOne’s Executive Chairman Mr Adrian Di Marco said “TechnologyOne is the only enterprise vendor to offer a true enterprise wide Software as a Service solution across the entire enterprise including financials, supply chain, HRP, analytics, crm and asset management for medium to large scale organisations.

“It is a single instance of software, delivered globally, running thousands of customers. It produces  massive economies of scale that hosting providers cannot come close to; including two releases of software per year, the TechnologyOne University for ‘just in time training’, and ‘defense in-depth security’. This is all provided standard as part of our SaaS solution, and we guarantee it will be future-proof,” Mr Di Marco said.

Chief Financial Officer of DIIS, Mr Brad Medland, said TechnologyOne met the department’s needs.

“We went to market seeking a flexible ERP solution that would enable us to provide Shared Service capabilities to other federal government agencies,” Mr Medland said.

TechnologyOne’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Edward Chung said TechnologyOne expects to see substantial growth in coming years from its SaaS offering to State and Federal Governments.

“The Department of Treasury and DIIS have led the way in choosing the only true SaaS multi- solution,” Mr Chung said.

“When you look under the covers, our competitors are simply hosting their software. Our enterprise SaaS is not hosted, it’s a single instance of software that can still be fully configured to meet the exact needs of each customer,” he said.

"We already have six Federal Government customers on our SaaS solution who benefit from significant reductions in the time, cost and risks associated with large scale enterprise-wide software implementations.

“Our software is accredited to the highest and most stringent global standards possible, and is the only enterprise software vendor recommended for IRAP certification,” Mr Chung said.

This is another example of TechnologyOne making life simple.
