Executive Chairman Adrian Di Marco said both he and the company’s staff were deeply affected by the tragedy, which was one of the largest disasters in our lifetime. He set a challenge for staff early January with an offer to match every dollar raised by staff with two dollars from the company.
"Our staff’s response to this appeal was astonishing – in less than three weeks they donated $22,827.90 to World Vision, which when matched two for one by the company equated to over $68,000," Mr Di Marco said.
"This is an extraordinary effort for a company of our size, and goes to show what a fantastic group of people we have working at Technology One," he said.
Technology One has had a long held belief that it has a corporate social responsibility to give back to the community. The company has a strong set of values that underpin its everyday activities – attitude to clients and staff, transparency, high ethical standards and giving back to the community.
The company provides much needed donations and support to community-based and educational organisations each year. In 2004, these included the Salvation Army, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Starlight Children’s Foundation.
