TechnologyOne continues to dominate Australian local government market

Tech powerhouse TechnologyOne has continued to dominated the Australian local government market, adding several major new customers to its roster in 2016.

New customers included Western Australia’s City of Canning and Leicester, Cambridge, South Cambridge and Huntingdonshire councils in the United Kingdom.

“TechnologyOne is now empowering more than 300 councils across Australia and New Zealand with our enterprise software designed specifically for local governments,” said TechnologyOne’s Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco.

“With more than 5.5 million rateable properties managed by our software, TechnologyOne is clearly the market leader in local government.

“We have a deep understanding of the local government sector and are continually investing in our solutions to meet their complex requirements today and into the future.

“This strong partnership with the sector is also resonating with customers in the UK, where local government was one of our key breakthrough markets in 2016.”

The software provider also completed milestone go lives with its preconfigured OneCouncil solution at Eurobodalla Council, City of Parkes, Clarence Council, City of Swan and Bass Coast Council, with the templated approach ensuring they came in on time and on budget.

"Our integrated OneCouncil solution is built specifically for local governments, and significantly reduces the time, cost and risks associated with large scale, enterprise-wide software implementations,” Mr Di Marco said.

“It enables our customers to prepare for a digital world, by making information instantly available to council’s communities 24/7, enabling them to focus on their business and not the technology.”

NSW local government Cumberland Council touted the benefits of partnering with TechnologyOne, crediting the software provider with transforming its business.

"We have to deliver a new plan to the community. We have to show them how we want to operate and how we want to manage the community. The only way we can do that is through TechnologyOne. We've tried a lot of other systems. The only one that works is TechOne,” Council’s executive manager of operations Peter Fitzgerald told IT Brief.
