TechnologyOne bolsters leadership team in Australia and the UK

April 2014 - As part of the ongoing transformation of its sales and marketing operation, TechnologyOne today announced strategic leadership changes to underpin its growth as an enterprise software provider throughout Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and the Pacific, and the United Kingdom.

Lee Thompson appointed as Operating Officer - Sales & Marketing
Lee Thompson, former Senior Vice President for Corporate Sales at Salesforce and Vice President for Asia Pacific Technology Commercial Sales at Oracle, has been appointed TechnologyOne's Operating Officer - Sales & Marketing.

Mr Thompson draws on more than 20 years’ experience in software solutions sales, 20 years’ management experience and his extensive experience in cloud computing.

He will be responsible for running TechnologyOne's sales and marketing organisation, and is charged with helping the company’s customers save costs and drive business success by embracing the benefits of cloud computing.

“Lee has extensive experience leading very large and successful sales teams for some of the world’s most successful IT companies,” said Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco.

“This is a timely appointment, as we get ready for the next stage of growth based on our TechnologyOne Cloud, our new Ci Anywhere platform and our Enterprise Vision.”

TechnologyOne launched the next evolution of its Connected Intelligence (Ci) platform, Ci Anywhere, at its 2014 Evolve user conference in February. Ci Anywhere provides TechnologyOne customers with a simple and easy way forward to embrace smart mobile devices and consumer concepts.

Roger Phare appointed as Operating Officer - UK
TechnologyOne’s former Operating Officer for Sales & Marketing, Roger Phare has moved into a role as Operating Officer - UK, as the company reinforces its commitment to the United Kingdom.

While TechnologyOne will continue to drive operations in its traditional regions, it is now looking to underpin its next stage of growth in the United Kingdom by providing executive leadership in the region. Given the size of this market, the UK operation is expected to provide TechnologyOne with significant long-term growth opportunities.

The company kicked off its UK operations in 2006, and now has customers across its key vertical markets including Local Government, Financial Services and Higher Education. The appointment of Roger Phare as Operating Officer has signified that the company will now enter the market more aggressively.

Mr Phare has worked with TechnologyOne since 2001, spearheading growth in New Zealand to establish the company as the primary player in the region’s Government, Local Government and Tertiary Education sectors. Most recently, Mr Phare has managed the company’s global sales operations as TechnologyOne’s Operating Officer for Sales and Marketing.

Drawing on more than 33 years’ experience in the ICT industry, Mr Phare will use his executive board, sales, operational and management experience, as well as his knowledge of the region, to drive operations in the UK.

“I am confident that with Roger's extensive industry experience and knowledge of our business and competitors, we will see the UK region become a significant platform for growth in the near future,” said Mr Di Marco.

“Lee’s experience, combined with Roger’s expertise in the UK, represents a significant step forward for TechnologyOne's sales and marketing operations and heralds a new era for the company.”
