TechnologyOne appoints international CRM specialist as new GM

TechnologyOne has appointed international Customer Relationship Management (CRM) specialist, Nick Davey, as General Manager for its CRM solution.

Davey has worked with CRM products for almost two decades, most recently as Lead Strategist and Business Architect for Brisbane City Council's multi-million dollar Customer Experience Transformation (CET) project, and as head of the Cap Gemini CRM implementation at Ipswich City Council.

In his native UK, Davey spent six years establishing his own successful CRM consulting business, and built up a wealth of experience in the government, pharmaceutical, healthcare and telco markets.

Davey also helped develop and led the Oracle CRM practice in the UK and subsidiary countries, including Denmark and South Africa.

In addition to overseeing the development of TechnologyOne CRM, Davey will now be responsible for building on recent wins in TechnologyOne's target markets, including a number of New Zealand Government departments and Port Kembla Coal Terminal in NSW.

Mr Davey said that his decision to move to TechnologyOne was based primarily on the company's reputation as a leader in the industry and because of its unique CRM software.

"TechnologyOne CRM offers significant potential as the ‘middle ground' in a rapidly maturing market of niche point and generic CRM solutions," said Mr Davey.

"Organisations are seeing the value of adopting an ‘outside in', customer-centric view of their operations more and more."

Mr Davey said that organisations are demanding flexible and functionally rich CRM systems because their customers are more informed, demand to be communicated to in their mode of choice, and are connected in such a way that organisations struggle to keep pace."

"Organisations no longer view their customers and other stakeholders on a transactional basis; they increasingly manage their customer interactions and processes on a ‘customer-centric' business model," said Mr Davey.

"In having flexible, business process driven CRM software, our industry focused solutions can deliver huge benefits to not only our customers but also their customers and other stakeholders too."

"The TechnologyOne CRM solution has significant potential to deliver the compelling ‘customer-centric' capabilities that organisations in our seven key vertical markets require. It is the middle ground in a market saturated with niche point solutions and jack of all trades."

TechnologyOne Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco echoed these sentiments, saying "every organisation in every sector needs a modern CRM system to keep up with customers' increasing expectations, and to ensure they are competing effectively in a high-tech, global marketplace."

"When we recruited Nick Davey, we set out to find an outstanding manager who had the best CRM experience and who could ensure that our solution continues to meet our customers' evolving needs, said Mr Di Marco.
