TechnologyOne adds General Manager for Plus

TechnologyOne Ltd (ASX: TNE) a leading Australian provider of enterprise software solutions, has announced the appointment of John Vickers to the role of General Manager, TechnologyOne Plus.

TechnologyOne Plus is the custom software development arm of the company, conceptualising, designing, developing, implementing and supporting large scale multi-million dollar custom applications, which are 'purpose built' to meet the exact requirements of a specific customers, using .NET, SharePoint, Middleware (BizTalk) and Java technologies.

John will leave his position as Executive Director for Information Technology and Product Services with the Queensland Department of Education, Training and the Arts – responsible for IT Strategy and Services in the $1 billion training portfolio. Previously CEO for Commerce Queensland, John has also worked in the capacities of Queensland State Manager for Unisys and Partner for the Public Sector Practice. John’s is an Accountant by profession and his qualifications include a CPA (Certified Practicing Accountant), Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom).

Executive Chairman of TechnologyOne, Mr Adrian Di Marco, said that TechnologyOne has an outstanding reputation for delivering large fixed time, fixed price software development projects on time and to budget, providing sustainable benefits to customers.

“John has the understanding of government, particularly in Queensland, and the demonstrated leadership skills that will enable him to build on this reputation in order to manage and grow TechnologyOne Plus to a $50million turnover business in the next 5 years,” he said.

John has a wealth of experience as a founding member of the Premier’s ICT Work Group and Chairman of the Australian Information Industry Association in Queensland for two years. John has worked in South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
