In 2017, TechnologyOne Cloud was independently audited and recommended to be certified for the Federal Government IRAP security standard, making it the first enterprise SaaS vendor to achieve this high level of security accreditation in Australia. This endorsement paved the way for a successful year in the federal government arena.
According to TechnologyOne’s Chief Executive Officer, Edward Chung, federal government agencies have been remarkably fast at realising the benefits of a SaaS model.
“Federal government have long been early adopters of solutions that provide a powerful combination of security and cost efficiencies,” Mr Chung said.
This year, the company signed a milestone deal with the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science (DIIS). DIIS is the second shared service hub to partner with TechnologyOne under the federal government’s shared service strategy, following the Department of Treasury last year. As a result of the two shared service hubs, more than 40 federal government agencies are planned to move to TechnologyOne’s SaaS solution.
Following on from the success of DIIS and the Treasury, Serious Fraud Office became the first New Zealand government agency to transition to TechnologyOne’s SaaS solution, with Statistics New Zealand and Worksafe New Zealand following suit.
“This success validates our focus on security and the sophistication of our enterprise SaaS solution for the NZ federal government market,” said Mr Chung.
“Through the shared services partnership with the Treasury, which has been live for more than 12 months, we have a significant amount of customers realising the benefits of our enterprise SaaS solution,” he said.
“Our solution is an end-to-end solution, encompassing not just software, but the infrastructure, security and services to guarantee our customers’ long-term success. Our consultants are deeply engaged with both our sales and R&D teams, ensuring that customers can influence the way our products are developed.
“Our consulting group is also specifically aligned to our eight vertical markets, meaning customers benefit from their in-depth knowledge, customised training and deep industry engagement. Through this approach we can have more meaningful and relevant conversations with customers, and develop long-term partnerships.”
According to TechnologyOne’s Executive Chairman, Adrian Di Marco, unlike Workday, Oracle and SAP, TechnologyOne is the only enterprise vendor to offer a true enterprise-wide SaaS solution across the entire enterprise.
“It is a single instance of software, delivered globally, running thousands of customers. It produces massive economies of scale that hosting providers cannot come close to; including two releases of software per year, the TechnologyOne University for ‘just in time training’, and ‘defense in-depth security’. This is all provided standard as part of our SaaS solution, and we guarantee it will be future-proof,” Mr Di Marco said.
“Our software is accredited to the highest and most stringent global standards possible, and is the only enterprise software vendor recommended for IRAP certification.
“These security standards, coupled with our key wins, endorses TechnologyOne as the safest and most trusted provider of enterprise SaaS in the world.”
